Oranges by Gelissa Phillips
The taste unknown on her buds She ate a fruit so sour but sweet Kind of dry to the mind What a tasty treat! Each swallow hurts the body Each bite tickles the neck Satisfied with a glass Done as she isn’t known the wreck Waiting to end the day Neck itches so tight Hives as great as a bee’s Something doesn’t feel right… Spotted in light of day Rushed away in a hurry To nurse, to car, no time to slow down! Mind Racing! Please hurry please hurry! |

For, he cannot see light When six feet under His friends are done crying, At his last text. Morticians are done trying, Until the next…. |
